Who we are & why we're different?
We believe in horsemanship, safety and helping people grow in all aspects of their lives. We see horses change people’s everyday lives from bringing simple joys to the most drastic of lifestyle changes.
Historical horses have been alongside humans in every part of life from farming to war. Today, you can find them as service animals, luxury pets and performance animals but they have never left our sides. We focus on the connection that bonds horses to us and us to them. This bond starts with communication in its simplest form - body language. Many people think horsemanship is just riding a horse. They may not realize that horsemanship is a relationship between humans and horse. From that point the relationship builds to allow the practice of any riding or exercise style. With the foundation of the relationship being on the ground it makes a stronger bond for riding. We teach multiple styles of riding but focus on fundamentals and foundation reining which can easily be transitioned into any style once established.
Horses can have such a profound impact on people that we also offer equine assisted learning, team building and therapeutic lessons.
We also want to support our local horse owners. We offer training in our methods and daily care tailored to the individual. As a part of these services, we have various resources for healing and rehabilitation as well as relaxation including TheraPlate, Niagara Equissage pulse, Equine Bemer and red light therapy. We are always adding more as they become available to us.
Another difference you will see with our program is the horses included. Many of them were unwanted for various reasons such behavior issues or their physical limitations. We bring these horses into the program and allow them to let us know what they can contribute to our team. Every horse may not be one everyone can ride but they all have something to teach us.
